Sunday, 25th August marks the end of the “Week of Events” with the greatly expected Bravìo delle Botti.
Starting at 10:00 a.m. Piazza Grande will host the extraction by lot of the starting order of the districts, followed by the usual “fire marking” of the barrels. As per tradition, the latter will b e followed by the quartets of the eight districts who will compete for the “Trabalzini Prize” as best flag-wavers and drummers of the year.
At 12:00 p.m. we will proceed with the offering of candles to San Giovanni Decollato and with the celebration of the solemn pontifical mass.
At 5:00 p.m. the quartets of the districts will perform again in Piazza Grande.
Finally, at 6:00 p.m., the famous barrel race will take place, starting at the Colonna del Marzocco and arriving in Piazza Grande.
